I'm Simona from Badolato, a little italian village in Calabria.
I always lived surrounded by great food and traditions, thanks to my nonna and my mamma, two women who inspired me a lot during my new life in Netherland.
Da Simona-Sweet Island is a small home italian business,close to Eindhoven.
I started thinking to bake my son was intollerant at milk and eggs and it was difficult
to find any specific bakery in 2009.
So I started cooking from home, making cakes for friends and my little kids.
All of my sweets and savouries are baked with organic, pure and no conservative ingredients in an authentic italian way, following my family's recipes and my own experience.
